In 2022, a new arrival to Lander, Wyoming, I stepped in the clay studio at the Lander Art Center and tried making a cup.  From there, I was absolutely hooked and proceeded to spend more and more time making pottery.  I love the meditative nature of throwing pots, repeating each motion with my hands dozens of times and getting lost in the detail.  Throwing pottery requires me to hold my mind in a calm place and make each movement with intention, a parallel I've found with my passion for rock climbing.

My work reflets two of my loves: a simple aesthetic and a love of making food for friends. My hope is that drinking coffee, serving dinner, or just eating a bowl of ice cream becomes a more special and meaningful moment because the owner of that piece knows the love I put into making each vessel.
