I am a Wyoming native and hold a BFA from the University of Wyoming as well as an MFA from Tulane University. Upon completing my studies, I spent 6 years as a production potter and small business owner with a retail storefront in Wyoming. Now I enjoy working in my home studio and I love to make pieces that are colorful and useful for everyday living. This is the work that sustains my business and allows me to also create pieces for the sheer pleasure of making art. My recent Steampunk series was inspired by a show I was part of with the Potters of the Wind Rivers. These pieces reflect my love for detail and whimsy because I try not to take myself or my work too seriously. My best days are spent with my family, dogs, and horses. Throw in some studio time and that's as good as it gets.
